Referral Program

Under Review

This section reflects the previous release and will be updated soon. If you need to use this feature before documentation is updated, please reach out to your Client Success Representative or Technical Solutions Architect.

note

This section doesn't appear if configuration isn't set up to use Referral Program features or if the user doesn't have the correct permissions.

If a referral requires the referee to complete an activity (such as enrollment or enrollment with a minimum spend) to receive rewards, the referral is credited to the referral program that is active when the referral activity is completed. For example, if a referee receives a referral in Q1 but doesn't complete the required activity (such as spending $100) until Q2, that referral is credited to the referral program active in Q2 (assuming it differs from the Q1 program).

The Referral Program section on the member page shows information related to the current member's referral activity — that is, their activities to send referrals to potential new members in the loyalty program. Depending on configuration, the referral program may reward the referrer only (the one providing the code), or both the referrer and the referee (the latter either for enrollment only, or for enrollment and completion of a minimum purchase).

When this section is expanded, the following data is shown:

  • Member's Referral Code: The unique code that the current member can use (or that an agent in the Console can use on their behalf) to invite other customers to become members in the loyalty program. Typically, if a new member joins the loyalty program using this code and then completes one or more activities such as registering and meeting a minimum spend threshold, the referrer (or both the referrer and referee) receives rewards. A Copy button (⧉) next to the Member's Referral Code allows an agent to copy the code.
  • Usage Limited Used: The referrer has a limit on how many times they can use the referral code (that is, how many customers they can invite to become members). This field shows the number of referrals the member has used versus the total limit (for example, "1 of 10," where "1" is the current number of referrals made and "10" is the limit).
