Manage Redemption on Unregistered Accounts

An account is unregistered if the member's email address hasn't been provided. If an account hasn't been registered, the Manage Account Status section looks different from that of a registered account and the account status is set to Unregistered.

For some clients, an agent in the Console needs a way to allow redemptions on a ghost (unregistered) card — specifically for a member who wants the benefits of being in the loyalty program without providing personally identifiable information (PII) such as their email address, date of birth, or phone number. For these members, the agent must enable the ability to redeem points earned on the unregistered card.

Allow redemption for an unregistered member

  1. Click Membership > Member Search.
  2. Select Card Number, enter the number of the unregistered card, and click Search.
  3. Click the record returned to open it on the member landing page.
  4. Select Account > Account Status.
  5. In the Account Actions section, select the Redemption Override dropdown.
  6. Select Update Account.
  7. In the pop-up window, enable the checkbox that allows redemption for the unregistered member.
  8. Select Update Account.
