Under Review

This section reflects the previous release and will be updated soon. If you need to use this feature before documentation is updated, please reach out to your Client Success Representative or Technical Solutions Architect.

note

This feature may not appear in the Console depending on configuration and the user's role in the system.

The Member Tier Program gives members access to reward tiers based on their spending and behavior. Each tier can be associated with a different reward profile and a different threshold spending amount.

The Member Tier Program section on the member landing page provides information about the member's current tier program status, their eligible contribution, the tier period, and how close they are to qualifying for the next tier. Tier information can also be updated from this section.

View tier details

To view the member's loyalty tier program details:

  1. From the top menu of the Console, select Membership > Member Search. Select any option, enter a valid value, and click Search. Click the record returned to open the member details page.
  2. Scroll down and click the Member Tier Program section to expand it.
  3. View the tier program information for the selected member.

The eligible contribution and the qualifying spend reset at the end of the current tier period. The tier period can be monthly, quarterly, or yearly and is calculated from the start date. If the current tier status is Not Yet Qualified, the member hasn't yet met the criteria to reach the bottom tier of the tier program.

If enabled, the Achieved On date shows when the current tier was achieved, and Next Period Status shows what the tier level will be in the next period based on current contributions or spending. Current Tier Contribution shows how much has been spent toward the next tier, and Distance to Next Tier shows the remaining required spend.

Update a member's tier status and eligible contribution

To update a member's tier status and eligible contribution:

  1. From the top menu of the Console, select Membership > Member Search. Select any option, enter a valid value, and click Search. Click the record returned to open the member details page.
  2. Scroll down and click the Member Tier Program section to expand it.
  3. View the tier program information for the selected member. If tiers are based on units purchased, a unit identifier appears in parentheses next to the relevant entries on the page — for example, Total Eligible Contribution (Litres). If tiers are based on dollars spent, a dollar sign ($) is shown.
  4. To change the member's tier status and/or eligible contribution, click Update. A window opens where you can change the tier status and eligible contribution.
  5. Select a new tier code from the available options in the New Tier Code dropdown. The dropdown typically includes Not Yet Qualified as well as all tier levels in the program.
  6. The New Eligible Contribution field is pre-populated with the qualification threshold for the selected tier. You can enter a new value in this field as long as it falls within the range of that tier (if it doesn't, a validation error message appears below the field). The value must be a positive integer.
  1. To apply the changes, click Proceed, then click Accept in the Update Membership Tier confirmation window.
  2. You are returned to the Member Tier Program section where you can view the changes. It may take a few minutes for any changes to the eligible contribution to appear on this page.

Household Tier Rank

If the member is in a household, the tier status and eligible contribution can be changed for the primary member, but the change affects the household rather than just the individual member. The tier status and eligible contribution can't be changed for secondary members in a household. If a change is attempted, an error message directs the user to the primary member to make changes instead.

Household Tier Aggregation

A household's tier status can be reviewed upward or downward when a member joins or leaves.

When a member joins a household, their individual contribution is added to the household's current contribution. The total is then used to determine the household's tier status going forward.

If either the joining member or the household has a status override that is higher than the calculated total, the override takes priority and is applied.

When a member leaves a household, their status is reassessed based only on their own contributions and status, including any previous individual overrides. They don't retain any household contributions or overrides that were applied before they joined.

The household's contribution is then reassessed by deducting the departing member's individual contribution from the total household contribution. The household retains any manually overridden status, including:

  • Status assigned directly to the household.
  • Status override triggered at the household level when a member joined.

If the manually assigned status is greater than the contribution-derived status, it is applied in place of the contribution-derived status.

When a household is formed or disbanded:

  • On formation: Eligible individual contributions are summed. Any manual status override is applied if it exceeds the contribution-based status.
  • On disbandment (when the primary members leave): Each member reverts to their individual contributions and status and doesn't retain household overrides.
