Flagged Behaviors
This section reflects the previous release and will be updated soon. If you need to use this feature before documentation is updated, please reach out to your Client Success Representative or Technical Solutions Architect.
This section doesn't appear if configuration isn't set up to use Fraud Plus fraud prevention features or if the user doesn't have the correct permissions.
The Flagged Behaviors section shows messages and actions on a member's account that has exhibited behaviors that are potentially fraudulent, excessive, erroneous, or suspicious. The section reports on "advices" or fraud control actions that apply to the member's account and provides details about each advice. Advices are generated by the Fraud Plus module as a result of checks run on transactions.
Elements of the rule:
- ADVICE: The business user's descriptive name for the applicable rule, based on a suspected instance of fraud.
- CONTEXT: Identifies the behavior that was flagged (REDEMPTION, EARN).
- POSTURE: The action resulting from the behavior (LOCK, SUSPEND, BLOCK, or BLOCK - Overridden).
- START DATE: The start date of the POSTURE for this CONTEXT for the member on this flagged behavior. For example, if the CONTEXT is REDEMPTION and the POSTURE is BLOCK, the member's redemptions are blocked for the duration defined by the start and end dates.
- END DATE: The end date of the POSTURE for this CONTEXT for the member on this flagged behavior.
- OVERRIDE: A control that allows overriding a block from the current date until the end date. Clicking the button removes the block. This column is shown only if you have the corresponding permission.
In the example below, the Fraud Plus module has generated a flagged behavior for this member. If there are one or more flagged behaviors, each row represents an "advice" or the status of a rule that has been applied to the member's account.
Viewing Advices
In the example below, the Fraud Plus module has indicated an advice (2 Months Redemption Block) showing that all attempts at point REDEMPTION (the CONTEXT) are set to BLOCK (the POSTURE) for a specified duration (between the START DATE and END DATE) for this member. The following steps show how to view the advices for a member's account:
- From the top menu of the Console, select Membership > Member Search. Select any option, enter a valid value, and click Search. Click the record returned to open the member details page.
- Click the Flagged Behavior section to expand it. Details of any outstanding advices on the account are shown, including the name of the advice, the context (why the advice was created), the posture (the action taken as a result of the advice), and the start and end dates (defining the duration of the advice).
If there are no flagged behaviors on the account, the Flagged Behavior section displays a message indicating this when expanded.
Overriding a Block
You can only override a redemption block advice if you have the correct permission. If you do, the OVERRIDE column is visible in the Flagged Behavior section for any advices, and you can override any block that hasn't already been overridden.
The following steps show how to override a block:
- From the top menu of the Console, select Membership > Member Search. Select any option, enter a valid value, and click Search. Click the record returned to open the member details page.
- Click the Flagged Behavior section to expand it. Details of any outstanding advices on the account are shown.
- In the OVERRIDE column, click the button () in the row for the advice you want to override.
- In the window that opens, enter the number of days to maintain the override, then click Proceed. The number of days must be a positive integer.
- In the confirmation window, click Accept. A message confirms that the block has been overridden.
