Expiry Forecasting Report

note

The Insights menu and Standard Reports sub-menu are only visible if you have the correct permissions to access reports.

The Expiry Forecasting report shows points that are about to expire and the composition of total outstanding liability based on months to expiry. The report is updated monthly and retains history from previous months. It enables finance departments to analyze expiry trends, forecast point expiry, and manage future liability. The expiry definition is based on the period of account inactivity.

The report lets you view the breakdown of months of no activity trends for loyalty program members across selected fiscal periods and selected months to expiry. Within each period, months of no activity are identified by color and indicate the percentage of total members, with the total bar showing cumulative expiry potential and the total number of members in the program. You can also click specific months in the legend to highlight that period across all bars.

Access and manage the report

To access the Expiry Forecasting report:

  1. Navigate to Insights > Reports Overview > Standard Reports.
  2. Depending on the interface you're using, click either Expiry Forecasting or Liability Management > Expiry Forecasting. The Expiry Forecasting report is displayed.

To use the controls on the bottom toolbar, refer to the Common Controls for Reports topic.

To view definitions of terms and usage notes, hover over the logo in the upper left corner of the report. The definitions and notes appear in a popup window.

In the bar chart, total points are labelled at the end of each bar. The % value indicates that category's percentage of the total points within the same period. The highlighting feature lets you select a desired category and makes it easier to identify the severity of points due to expire soon.

  5. Hover over any section of a bar to see detailed information about that section.
  1. Click a metric in the legend to highlight all instances of that metric across the bar charts.
  1. Click the button next to Points to Expire below the bar chart to toggle the display between ascending and descending order of the total bar values.
