Rewards Section

The Rewards section specifies the currency the member earns from the offer, the type of reward they receive, the value of that reward, and how an employee discount affects the member's ability to qualify for the offer. It contains the following subsections:

  1. Reward Configuration: Specifies the currency, reward type, and reward value for the offer.

    • Reward Currency: The currency the member is rewarded in. This field is pre-populated based on your program configuration and cannot be changed.
    • Reward Type: The kind of reward issued to the member. Currently, only Flat Bonus is available.
    • Reward Strategy: Specifies how many times a member receives the reward within a single transaction. Choose from the following options:
      • Minimum: The member receives the reward a single time, once the minimum required action is performed.
      • For Every: The member receives the reward each time they complete the required action.
    • Reward Value: The amount of currency the member earns when the reward is issued.
  2. Employee Discount: Specifies how an employee discount applied at the point of sale affects whether a member qualifies for the offer. There are three options:

    • Allow with or without employee discount: Members qualify whether or not they apply an employee discount.
    • Require employee discount: Members qualify only if they apply an employee discount.
    • Exclude with employee discount: Members do not qualify if they apply an employee discount.

    Changing the employee discount setting may affect which members qualify for the offer. When you select a different option, a confirmation dialog appears. Select Change Setting to apply the new option, or Keep Current to retain the existing selection.

Set up the rewards for an offer

  1. In the Reward Configuration section, confirm the value in the What currency will be rewarded? field. This field is read-only and reflects the currency configured for your program.
  2. From the What kind of reward is this? dropdown, select Flat Bonus.
  3. Select the reward strategy that determines how often the member is rewarded in a single transaction:
    • Minimum: Reward the member once, after they meet the minimum required action.
    • For Every: Reward the member each time they complete the required action.
  4. In the Reward Value field, enter the amount of currency the member earns when the reward is issued.
  5. In the How do employee discounts affect a member's ability to qualify for this offer? section, select one of the following options:
    • Allow with or without employee discount: Members qualify whether they apply an employee discount or not.
    • Require employee discount: Members qualify only if they apply an employee discount.
    • Exclude with employee discount: Members do not qualify if they apply an employee discount.
  6. If a Change Employee Discount Setting? dialog appears, select Change Setting to confirm the new option, or Keep Current to revert to the previous selection.
