Create a Game
Using the Console, you can create a wide range of games.
To start game creation:
- From the top menu in the Console, select Promotions > Games > Business Unit (if applicable).
- Click +Game on the Games page. The game creation page opens.
- Follow the steps in the Internal Identifiers and Game Configuration sections to create the game.
Internal Identifiers section
The first section is Internal Identifiers, which includes the business unit and game ID. The business unit is filled in automatically and can't be edited. Note: The business unit field doesn't appear if your company doesn't use this feature.
To complete the Internal Identifiers section:
Enter the game ID. The game ID must use 3 to 128 alphanumeric characters and underscores only (a-z, A-Z, 0-9, _). The game ID must be unique and can't be changed after you click Save Draft or Save and Publish.
Game Configuration section
The Game Configuration section is where you provide details about the game.
To complete game configuration:
- Select the game provider from the first dropdown. Currently, the only available provider is "CATABOOM."
- Choose the game type from the next dropdown: "Scratch off", "Spin the Wheel", "Slot type", or "Quick Play".
- Enter the Game Label — a unique naming label used to identify the game. This is the name shown when selecting the game while creating an offer.
- Enter a Game Description to give Console agents more context about the game's intent and how it operates.
- Enter the JWT Secret code supplied by the game provider. This code enables the integration that provides access to the game in the third-party vendor system. This value can't be changed after you click Save Draft or Save and Publish.
Game Management controls
Once you've entered all the settings for the game, use the game management controls on the bottom toolbar to save, preview, publish, or cancel the game, and to enable, disable, or delete it.
- To save a draft, click Save Draft. If there are errors, a message prompts you to fix them before saving again. A message confirms that the draft has been saved.
- To publish the final version, click Save and Publish, then Publish in the Publish Game window. A message confirms that the game has been published.
- To cancel and discard the game, click Cancel, this returns you to the Games page.
- To disable a published and active game, click ... > Disable. Select Disable when the confirmation window appears.
- To enable a disabled game, click ... > Enable. Select Enable when the confirmation window appears.
