Activation Section
Once an offer is published, its activation configuration can no longer be changed. Review your selections in this section carefully before publishing.
The Activation section specifies how the offer becomes active for a member and the limits that apply to how often the offer can be redeemed and how many rewards it can generate. It contains the following subsections:
- Activation Method
- Usage Limits
- Reward Caps
Activation method
The activation method specifies how the offer becomes active for an eligible member. Choose from the following options:
- Auto-Load: The offer is activated automatically for every eligible member.
- Load to Card: The offer is activated only when the member loads it to their account.
Usage limits
Usage limits specify how many times the offer can be redeemed. You can set a per-member limit and a total limit independently.
For each limit, choose from the following options:
- No limit: There is no cap on the number of redemptions.
- Limit to: Enter the maximum number of redemptions allowed.
The two limits you can set are:
- How many times can a member redeem an offer?: The maximum number of times a single member can redeem the offer.
- How many times can this offer be redeemed across all members?: The maximum number of times the offer can be redeemed in total across all eligible members.
Reward caps
Reward caps specify the maximum value of rewards the offer can generate. You can set a per-member cap across all transactions and a per-transaction cap independently.
For each cap, choose from the following options:
- No limit: There is no cap on the value of rewards earned.
- Limit to: Enter the maximum reward value allowed.
The two caps you can set are:
- What is the maximum value of rewards that the member can earn from this offer across all transactions?: The lifetime reward value a single member can earn from this offer.
- What is the maximum value of rewards that the member can earn from this offer in a single transaction?: The reward value a single member can earn from this offer in one transaction.
Unstackable group
The unstackable group setting specifies whether the offer is added to the Unstackable Offers Group. Offers in this group cannot be combined in a single transaction — when a member's transaction qualifies for more than one offer in the group, only the offer with the highest reward value applies. Choose from the following options:
- No (default): The offer is not added to the unstackable group and can reward alongside other offers in the same transaction.
- Yes: The offer is added to the unstackable group.
- Offers in the unstackable group are mutually exclusive — only one offer in the group can award rewards per transaction.
- When a transaction qualifies for multiple offers in the unstackable group, the offer with the highest reward value takes precedence. The other offers do not reward for that transaction, even if their criteria are met. They remain eligible to reward in subsequent transactions if still active.
- The unstackable group setting is only available for business units that use offer stacking logic. If your business unit does not, the field appears as Not applicable in the Offer Summary panel.
