Manage Audiences
This feature may not be available in your version of Console depending on configuration.
To open the Audiences section of the Console, select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.
View or edit an Audience in the Audiences List
The Audiences page lists all existing audiences, sorted by most recently created. To view or edit an audience, click it to open it. Note that some fields are read-only and cannot be edited.
To view existing audiences:
- Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens with the last edited audience at the top.
- Scroll down the audiences list. Use the page numbers or Previous/Next controls at the bottom of the page to view additional pages. Audiences with the start icon next to their name were generated using Audience AI feature.
- To show more or fewer audiences on the page, select a different setting in the Show dropdown at the bottom of the page.
View audience details
- Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.
- Find the audience you want to view in the list.
- Click the audience's name to open it. The audience details open on the page.
Edit an audience
- Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.
- Find the audience you want to edit in the list.
- Click the audience name to open it. Some fields are greyed out and can't be edited.
- Make any required changes to the editable fields.
- Click Save Changes. The audience is saved with the changes.
Filtering Audiences
Filter audiences to narrow down the list to those that meet your criteria. For example, you may want to view audiences by whether they were AI-generated, by status, or by last edited date. The following steps show how to filter the list of audiences:

Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.

Click the filter button (⧩). The filter window opens with filtering options.

Choose one or more of the following filtering options:
- Status: Select the status of the audiences you want to see:
ACTIVE,INACTIVE, orDRAFT. - GenAI Enabled: Select whether you want to see audiences generated by AI (True) or those that weren't (False).
- Last edited: To filter by the date and time an audience was last edited, select an operator from the dropdown (Greater Than for after a date, In Between for a date range, or Less Than for before a date). Then click the calendar button to select the date or dates.
- Status: Select the status of the audiences you want to see:

Click Apply to apply the filter. To cancel without filtering, click Cancel. To reset all options to their defaults, click Clear.

When you're done filtering, click the filter button (⧩) again to close the filter window.
Duplicate, Enable, or Disable an Audience
Use the controls in the Actions dropdown in the last column to duplicate, enable, or disable an audience. Note that duplication isn't available for AI-generated audiences (created using Audience Recommender).
Duplicate an audience (not available for AI-generated audiences)
- Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.
- From the Actions dropdown next to the audience, select the ellipsis menu (⋯) then select Duplicate.
- In the Audience Details window that opens, enter a new audience ID for the duplicate audience.
- Make any other required edits to the editable (not greyed out) fields.
- Click Publish. In the confirmation window that pops up, select Publish.
Enable a disabled audience
- Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.
- From the Actions dropdown for the disabled audience, select the ellipsis menu (⋯) then select Enable. The audience status is set to Enabled.
Disable an enabled audience
- Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.
- From the Actions dropdown for the enabled audience, select select the ellipsis menu (⋯) then select Disable. The audience status is set to Disabled.
Export Member Details for a Published Audience
To determine the members or accounts included in a published audience, export and view a generated file.
Export an audience file for a published audience
- Select Membership > Audiences. If required, select a business unit in the sub-menu. The Audiences page opens.
- Find the published audience you want to view in the list.
- Click the audience name to open it. The audience details open on the page.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
- In the Export section, click Generate Export.
- Select the unique identifier to be included in the exported file for each targeted member account. Choose from Loyalty ID, Account ID, or External ID. Note that only supported options are displayed — if you don't see External ID, it isn't enabled in your system. Click Save.
- Initially, the file status is shown as
SCHEDULEDalongside details such as the file name, last updated date and time, and file status. - Reload the audience details page till the status shows
GENERATED, then select Action > Download, then Save As. Choose a location to save the file and click Save. The CSV file is downloaded to the selected location.
