Groups

A group is a collection of users who have similar roles and require the same or similar options and permissions in the Console. The Groups section lets you manage Console users in groups, making it easy to set options and permissions for all members of a group at once. You can also edit or delete existing groups from this section.

Search by group name

  1. Navigate to Users > Groups.
  2. In the Search by Group Name field, enter a group name. Matching groups appear in the list. If no results are found, a message indicates that the group doesn't exist.

View group details

  1. Navigate to Users > Groups.
  2. Click the group name you want to view. The Group Details page opens.

Create a group

  1. Navigate to Users > Groups.
  2. Click +Group.
  3. Enter a Name for the group. This is a required field.
  4. Optionally, enter a Description of what the group will be used for.
  5. Select one or more Role Assignment options. This is required — these are the roles assigned to the group.
  6. Click Create Group, then Create in the confirmation window. The group is created, you are returned to the Groups page, and a message confirms that the group has been created.

Edit group details

  1. Navigate to Users > Groups.
  2. Click the group name. The Group Details page opens.
  3. Make any required changes. Note that the group name can't be changed.
  4. Click Save Changes. In the confirmation window, click Save Changes. You are returned to the Groups page.

Delete a group

  1. Navigate to Users > Groups.
  2. Locate the group on the Groups page using the search bar or the list.
  3. In the Actions column, select the ellipsis menu (⋯) then click Delete.
  4. In the confirmation window, click Delete. The group is deleted, removed from the list, and a message confirms the deletion.

Duplicate a group

  1. Navigate to Users > Groups.
  2. Locate the group on the Groups page using the search bar or the list.
  3. In the Actions column, select the ellipsis menu (⋯) then click Duplicate.
  4. Confirm the details of the group's copy then select Create Group.
  5. In the confirmation window, click Create. A message confirms the duplication.
